House Leveling

The process of house leveling is lifting an entire home with minimal impact to its original state.  The most common way to level a house is to repair the foundation. A home that is sinking at any point or any location most likely has a structural issue. House leveling will generally fix the problem, but the source of the problem must also be addressed to prevent similar damage from happening again in the future. Structural damage, foundation erosion, volatile soil conditions, drainage issues, and invading tree roots are all factors that can contribute to a sinking house or sagging, uneven floors. To ensure a more permanent solution, these issues must also be addressed before house leveling.

When you need house leveling

One of the most visible signs of foundation damage that can be corrected by house leveling is cracking in the walls. If you have a brick home, you may notice cracks in the exterior. Keep an eye out for cracks in the mortar between the bricks. If your floors are uneven or slanted, or if they are sagging or bowing, this is another indication that you require house leveling. Foundation shifting can cause gaps between crown molding and ceiling, as well as between caulking and doors or windows. If you notice any of these issues, you should have your foundation inspected by our professional team of Foundation repair experts as soon as possible.

House Leveling methods

Hollow pipes that are driven into the ground by a hydraulic ram are called push piers. They are held in place by pier brackets. These structures contribute a lot of weight and help the piers stay in place. Your foundation will be lifted, stabilized, and leveled as a result of the resistance caused. Steel pipes with screw-like edges are called helical piers. Rather than pulling the piers into position, the inserted helices pull them in. Helical piers are utilized to raise your house and level your foundation. The concrete will sink or crack over time due to a variety of environmental forces. The purpose of concrete slab leveling is to restore and restructure the concrete slab so that it is in an even position. Caulk is applied to any apparent fractures or holes in the slabs.

Cost of House Leveling

While many people associate foundation problems, house leveling, or repairs with exorbitant costs, this does not have to be the case. However, if these problems persist, the damage can and will continue to accumulate, potentially costing a property owner much more in the long run. Avoiding costly repairs or the formation of new problems can be avoided by being proactive in resolving these concerns.
